indulge to your hearts content

amazing place. just cant get enough of the wow food here.
the latest addition to the eating experience is the indulge menu.
a carefully designed veg and non veg options giving filling options at very low cost. The place is otherwise on the expensive side, but no complaints on food and service hence ok.
the indulge menu is availabe on weekdays only and includes if i remember correctly soup, salad, maincourse and tea or soft drink. enough for almost 2 persons.
must try. must must.

too costly

Food is good, good continental choices for breakfast or snack. Service is very prompt.
Ambiance - well I didn't like seating on entrance/corridor idea - everyone entering into peacock is looking at your plate, gave me feeling that owner of this restaurant wanted to make most of high real estate price in 100 ft road by making customer seating anywhere.
Price is too high - a meal for two would be easily around 2000, and 10% service charge + 14.5% VAT, too high for open air restaurant. ( don't understand why this page has rated Air Conditioned )

BEST CAFE IN TOWN!

I go to this place regularly, and its new dishes are absolutely to die for. Although its menu is a little pricey it is more than worth it. The coffee and desserts are as always the best in town. i have always enjoyed the ambience of the place which is cosy and makes me feel right at home. the place definitely deserves a thumbs up !!!

The Perfect Afternoon Snack!

I needed 10 mins to calm down after a long day with the toddler. And I stopped at the first place that looked like it had decent cappuccino. I ordered a chilli cheese toast to go with my steaming cuppa! And that was that. I don't believe I've tasted a CC toast better than the one I had here. It was exactly what I needed that afternoon. And the piping hot cappuccino complemented the spicy toast burning it's way down my mouth. Just what I needed! Love their food. Definitely going back there again. Casual, friendly and airy place .. seems like a perfect hangout for my toddler, my husband and I.

Great all Day Breakfast Menu!

One place where it is never too late for a breakfast! The place has maintained its consistency with food and menu, while with time; I see their service getting slow and long billing period. And yes! it is on the expensive side.

yum yum yum!!!

This cute little patisserie on the bustling 100ft Road is truly a place of quiet repose if you just want to sit there sipping your latte & reading a book, dig into their sinful pastries or even carry back some deliciously baked breads or croissants home with you. All their pastries look delicious and are 'melt in the mouth' types but its the 'kit-kat pastry' with chunks of kit kat hidden within its chocolaty layers that 'takes the cake', quite literally!! its such a favorite that I actually skipped desserts at Sunny's after my birthday dinner last week and visited C&C instead to dig into this one.Creme & Crust definitely gets my vote as one of the finest bakeries in the city!!

Good pastries

This is a good palce if you wanna try out pastries. But the only problem, most of it is just chocolate rich pastries. There was only Pinepaple pastry which was not chocolate based...their apple pie was really good. Most places has a rush of cinnamon in the apple pie. But this one had just the right amount of cinnamon in the apple pie.

The veggie burger was not good. well, its veg burger, shouldnt have expected it to be good. All in all, real nice place to go and have a relaxed evenings with friends.

The BEST place for Breakfast in Bangalore

This place has grown since the last time I was here almost a year ago. In terms of both menu choices and quality. It as running full, and we were asked to sit in Peacock, a restaurant on the first floor of the same building. A beautiful place, very luxurious and comfortable.
Now coming back to the menu choices at Creme and Crust, you have the most delicious omelettes, pancakes and waffles. The Ultimate Creme and Crust breakfast was the best. The coffee is freshly brewed and smells really good.
The menu also had a surprise, chaats, which were great. The aloo tikki was really the best I have tasted.
My group of friends ( we were 6 of us) had a great time and were really full by the time we were done with the breakfast cum lunch cum dinner. The service was very warm and unruffled, despite the almost unmanagable rush.

Awful Desserts

My last visit to Woodstok made me learn that they would soon be opening up a cafe on 100ft. Road which would have selective stuff from their menu and setup more as a Deli.

I tried a couple of things, one was a white chocolate cheesecake and the other was a Truffle pastry. In my opinion the cheesecake was still palatable till a single bite, but the truffle pastry was so bad that even half a spoon of it gave me nausea. No exaggeration at all, both the things were really very very bad. If you put into equation their prices which are above Spoonful of Sugar and more in line with Bliss Luxe, it felt like a daylight robbery!

To be honest, I wasn't really surprised because it is the same way with Woodstok as well. They serve some pretty good food but their desserts were pretty bad (though they indeed looked fancy). These chaps really need to work on their stuff and keep a place such as Spoonful of Sugar or Cafe Noir (in UB City) as their benchmark; the Deli at Taj (Westend and Residency both) isn't really the very best one in this city, I guess.

This was the 175th place I visited and the first one to force me to put up a rightly deserved review.

excellent breakfast

The new introduction to the menu of this place is very interesting and wholesome. A very exhaustive American Breakfast is great value for money , and very tasty. They serve fresh juice of your choice alongwith a complimentary cappuccino. The meats are fresh and the egg omelletes are very well done. The bread basket is baked fresh and very tasty.
Apart from this the mexican omellete is very nice and spicy, you would not find it anywhere else in Bangalore.

The pancakes are great too. Go ahead and book your breakfast and have a great time. By the way it is served all day long.

Food is descent but they really need to hire a gud dishwasher who uses soap to wash the cups (tea/coffee cups had stains aka not washed just rinsed out) & Cutlery had left over food.

Bad service

We recently visited the outlet in Indira Nagar and ordered for 2 milkshakes and a hot chocolate. Immediately after ordering this i included Nachos to the order. I had to call the person who was taking the order atleast thrice before he came over to take the Nachos order. 20 minutes after we ordered we got the milkshakes and 5 mins later the hot chocolate was delivered. After an hour of waiting we asked the waiters there more than thrice about the order of Nachos to which the response was - it will be there. After an hour of waiting, we were frustrated to see every other table being delivered with orders except ours. When we finally complained to the person who looked like the manager - he said i'll look through and to our shock was checking with the person who took the order as to when we ordered that plate of Nachos to which the waiter promptly said 15 minutes ago. Since there was no point in speaking to such people we asked them to cancel the order of nachos and my BIL politely told the manager that in future it will be great if they can include time when they take a particular order to avoid such goofups. Guess what was the reply from that person - he never even looked at us but said thanks for the information and went on to talk to someone who had ordered a kg of cake or something.

Now this is not our first visit to this place - we have been always treated very nicely and there was this chef Sidney who was extremely helpful to us before. But yesterday's rude treatment made us shudder and i don't think we will ever go back to this place. Yes we may be missing some of the best pastries in town but it's a small price to pay. I hope the management looks through all this and ensure that their men know how to treat a customer.

Brunch it up!

Overall: 3.5
Food: 3.5
Ambience: 3.5
Service: 4

I’ve had this place in my sights for a while, ever since I read about their all-day breakfast on burrp. It’s a tiny but cozy place with tables for two, a nice place for a brunch date with very little crowd. I wasn’t in the mood for a full breakfast at 2.30 in the afternoon, especially after tea and snacks at a family friend’s place, so I settled (or so I thought!) for a Mexican omelette, with tortillas, salsa and two slices of toast. The omelette was big, made with three eggs, and stuffed with everything from cheese to olives, and it was a struggle to finish it. The accessories weren’t great- the baked potatoes were tasteless and the white dip unappetizing, but they did make their omelette pretty well, and I have no complaints. I would love to try their all-day breakfast, there are some interesting items on the menu, and the desserts looked pretty great (though quite expensive).

Great food, good choice

As they say great surprises come in small packages, this little place is a hidden gem . Avoided this place earlier thinking it was a dessert shop thanks to its name :)

The presentation of food is great, the food tastes good and the portions are large. Two grouses against this place the ambience is bit too cramped for my style and also felt it was a bit pricey. Ended up paying almost 20% in taxes. One of the stores which has a mandatory service charge. Feel the owners are making us pay the wages of their employees

delicious - as always

This place is an extension of Woodstok, and has a lot of things taken from their menu.
The pizzas served here are as always great, the greek pizza being the best in Bangalore.
The pastries, particularly, the tortuga is fantastic.
The kalhua mousse served here ( as also in Woodstok) , is their trademark dessert. Always great.

The only drawback would be the noise from the busy 100 ft road, but I guess one would not have so much problem in the evenings, and the music could take care of that.

The advantage is that the place is so accessible with ample parking and is right on the main 100ft road. Our group of 4 had great fun. The sandwiches were good too. Totally fresh, not pre made and heated in the oven, like in most cafes in Bangalore, where the food is sourced from a central kitchen and heated before serving.
A great place to hang out.

Break the fast with C&C

We had been planning to visit C&C for a while now but never got around to it due to its location and our perpetual laziness in going all the way over there for breakfast. Finally we managed to get ourselves there one Saturday morning. Very worth it, it was! It's a very small space, laid back and furnished like a garden cafe. Parking was a breeze. The menu is pretty extensive for such a small place. We ordered the All American breakfast and an egg salad sandwich. The AAB was pretty great with the eggs done perfectly. Not overcooked at all. The grilled mushrooms and tomatoes were a tasty accompaniment. My husband fortunately (for me) is not too keen on sausages so I got to eat the yummy chicken sausages. The bread basket was awesome especially the croissant. Warm and fluffy, full of buttery goodness. My daughter was content with simply eating the bread. The egg salad sandwich wasn't like the typical ESS (which is usually a creamy mix of chopped boiled eggs, mayo, mustard, celery, dill etc). Although this had the same ingredients it was mostly an egg omelet topped with a lettuce salad and cheese. Taste wise it was great so I wasn't too bothered by this new take. It arrived with a huge side of tasty fries which were promptly dealt with. To top it off, the coffee was excellent. In summary, a great experience. The prices are sensible and the service is quick. Certainly recommend it for a lazy weekend brunch. I hope they open a few more branches.

Divinely Delicious

I had the opportunity to check out this store once again in this week. I had order on take away basis: the eggless, pineapple pastries.
Taste: simiply heavenly...truly delectable
Ambience: cozy
Service: very proactive and just professional
Package: quite protective of the regal fare inside
Checkout: very responsible folks...they have reached out and returned my card which was left over there..while savoring those ethereal moments after splurging the pastries...
Quality of the pastries are truly 5star variety ala of Le Meridien or Taj.

fabulous hangout

the food is so fresh and tasty, you would not believe what you are in for when you start ordering. It looks like any other cafes where you get re-heated food and short eats. But the surprising factor is that everything is made fresh, the eggs, pizzas, pastas and the juices.
the All American breakfast is a fantastic. Once you eat it, you do not need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. it is so filling and huge and yummy
The service is very very efficient despite the rush here on the weekend, and also very warm .

A must visit. for all egg and meat lovers

yummy :)

went there today in the evening around 4 with a friend. Cozy little place with friendly people. We ordered chocolate mousse which came in a cute little shot glass. My friend ordered a pineapple pastry and I ordered a Cheese and Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was average, came with a side of salsa and fries. They were playing Bryan Adams' live concert on their flat screen - not very appealing! Overall a nice place but totally not worth it, way over-priced! Go there only if your a big fan of pancakes or bacon and eggs or just want to have a nice american brunch :)

great chaat

On Sunday I went to this place for an all american breakfast, and was pleasantly surprised to find a menu with chaats.
Curiosity got the better of me and i ordered some paani puri and aloo tikki. boy was it good. absolutely like the what you get in north india.
the chaats are part of a sneak peek of the new restaurant coming up on the first floor of the building where creme and crust is.
the jalebi with rabri was great too.
guess i would go back with my mom who does not like the regular chaat available in bangalore.

Cost Cutting?

For those of you that equate Creme & Crust with a good hearty breakfast at an affordable rate with consistent service might want to alter your expectations before returning.

I sense that this overall drop in quality & quantity can be accustomed to an overal budget cut/margin increase. I have slowly seen the number of competent waiters dwindling only to be replaced by an army of automatons controlled by a single hand. While this may appear functional, when you request the automaton for a glass of water, it takes approximately 2.34 trips back and forth to finally succeed.

With the helping sizes also getting smaller, the cafe has decided to reduce the size of the breakfast plate to a sizzler dish with the hope that your stomach will be visually satisfied. I dont eat photos, and my stomach sure doesn't lie.

In conclusion Creme & Crust was once a place for a filling breakfast, however recently it has deteriorated into a loud, messy, inconsistent watering hole.

used to be good Once upon a time

My husband & I were regulars here till four months back... recently 3 weeks ago only disappointment greeted us. slow waiters & poor service. After lot of reminders, we got a measly breakfast with reduced salsa, sour cream & hash browns... Quality too has considerably gone down... To cool us off, they gave a complimentary juice only to be billed later. :( .. Sad....

Perfect Sunday Brunch

With cozy little cottage-like appearance and coolers around, the place may seem a bit ordinary at first. But once you start munching a bread piece of the American Breakfast, offered with bacon or sausage, mushrooms, baked beans and watermelon juice you'll find the subtle deliciousness in everything they offer. A cafe latte ends the meal well. Creme and Crust offers you dishes that are surprisingly enjoyable, compromising a little bit on presentation, with a few service glitches which may be easy to overlook. It's a good place to go for a Sunday brunch.

SPLENDID FOOD

I am very fond of sweets and been to different bakeshops, I must say that the newly opened Creme & Crust in Indiranagar has a lot to offer. The Belgian chocolate and the Tortuga cake are really yummy, the baked cheesecake taste is superb. I love the apple pie and brownies (w/ lots of walnuts :)) . They also have wide selection of breads and cookies. A bit expensive compared to other shops but taste wise, its really worth.

Me and my collegues enjoyed our last visit with a cup of Ghirardelli chocolate mocha, cappuccino, veg platter, pasta alfredo, and chicken burger. Good music made this place a relaxing place to hang around.

Fab place for hanging out with friends on a weekend. Great music compliment the yummy desserts and freshly prepared snacks.

No frozen foods here, every thing is made from scratch. You can see the difference.
The portions are good except on the woodstok platter which could do with more pieces of each of loaded potato skins, onion rings and cheesy soldiers.
We also missed the sandwiches in the wheat bread option. Other than this, it was a great experience.

Amazing

Was there last evening. It is an extremely well done up place which serves the BEST desserts in Bangalore. The only other place which would compare would be the Taj pastry shop.

The cakes and pastries are indeed the richest and the tastiest. The place is extremely upmarket, bang on 100ft Road in Indiranagar. It is very nicely done up.

The pastas and the sandwiches we had were freshly made and very nice. The only minus would be lack of any music. Music would certainly complete the place.
