A sea food lover's nightmare!

WARNING: I'm a sea food lover who does not find many easy reasons to crib about the food/taste, I rarely complain about sea food & am very accepting (really) !
Naturally had expectations from this place that were let down like someone pushed me off a cliff, in a jiffy. To start with the bland taste of servings from the buffet, we then went for the a la carte which was no rescue either! The waiters served water only upon being reminded several times & only by the time you're done with your lunch!

Great Ambiance!!

I visited this place couple of months ago and I have tried both the buffet as well as the À la carte.
Being a Vegetarian there is no variety available in the offerings but the food was good.

I would like to specifically mention here that it was one of the best places I have visited in Bangalore so far in terms of service and ambiance.
Your experience would be the same as the visit to a restaurant in Goa which happens to be the theme of the Place and like how it's in Goa it's a little bit heavy on your pocket too ;)

Great Setting For Sunday Lunch With Family

This was my first visit to this place. I had heard mixed reviews but a friend who stays close by and is a regular convinced me to make a visit for Sunday lunch.
The open area seating on a bright but not too hot afternoon made a perfect setting for some seafood and drinks.
Having a happy hour for lunch on weekends is a splendid idea and the bar tender did full justice to the Long Island Iced Tea.
The Crab Masala in Rechado sauce was ok. Chicken Cafreal is highly recommended. The Prawns Rava fry were good and the fish curry was ok.
The big disappointment was that many items were not available. Apparently they had not received a fresh delivery of sea food that day. They were even out of some dessert items. Not what you would expect on Sundays. But otherwise the service was impeccable. We got good advise from the staff.
The childrens play area makes it easier to visit with kids who can't be bound to a table.

An Ideal Place to Take Your Family.

Went there on a Sunday evening.. Not too crowded because this place is huge!! Very aesthetically designed.. Reminded me of Bali :)

Fresh sea food.. Live music and a very pleasant staff..

The waiter suggested us the Peri Peri prawns.. A bit too salty and pungent for my taste..The kalmi kabab was succulent..Caesar salad was excellent.. Pastas also tasted good.. The portions could improve a bit for the price paid. The only irritating bit were the mosquitoes..

Surprised with the service

I am a regular @ Fisherman's Wharf but I was surprised by the behavior of one of the serving staff there today when I went with some of my friends. When I asked for one of the drinks they refused, saying it is out of stock . While leaving the restaurant I observed that the same drink is served to others.
This is something which I have never observed here but I am definitely not very amused by this and I think I will never go back to this place especially when we have so many choices nearby.

Great Place & Great Food...:)

Its a nice place to spend some quality time and hog on some tasty Goan food. The ambiance is quite and nice. The waiters are friendly and attentive. We went there yesterday, tasted one of the most delicious prawn Peri Peri. It simply melts in your mouth; the prawns used are so fresh. Hats off to chef’s Preparation. Enjoyed Chilled beer with a b’ful singer’s slow songs. Overall a very nice place for food lovers!! :)Will be back very soon!!

Loved it

Been there a few times, love the spacious open air restaurant, this place is huge. Love seating at the bar which is right in the middle of the lawn. They have some nice cocktails. Live performances lifts the mood. Food is average, the pork and beef items especially are quite nice but its the fish items and the gravies that didn't quite work for me. In any case, its a good place. Must visit for the ambiance, it takes you to Goa instantly.

a very different experience

We went to the fishermans warf for dinner. I have to admit the feeling when u step into the place is somthing else. Its very beautiful. The decor is like that of a very Goan classy restaurant. They even have large masks as a tribute to the carnival which happens every year in Goa.They offer Goan,North Indian and chinese. We had a variety of all three. The Goan fish curry and rice is exactly like the one we would have in Goa .The Chinese was also delicious as was the north Indian food we ordered. This place is definately a unique experience especially for a crowded city like Bangalore. Its very spacious and the food took very little time in arriving. Only one complain would be there which is at the staff takes a very long time to come when called. However, the experience overall was brilliant.Hope to go there soon.

Visit Once!!

If your looking for a good hangout on an evening with your loved ones, then this place suits you the best ..

We visited place on an evening with out reservation and all we could get was two bar chairs where they said they would serve us :( - Reservation must as the place is crowded in the evening..

Good choice of music and great ambiance..kid friendly got some activities for them to keep them busy .

lets talk food and drinks..Drinks are good we had a mocktail and a cocktail. pretty good, could have been better for their standards.

Food- Below average..very bland and too oily..havent tried the goan cuisine so cant comment on that much, but this place has to improve lots on their food standards for sure..

Pretty Decent hangout in remote bangalore

i stay in hsr and work at outer ring road,we party mainly in town or koramangla mostly for lack of quality places in sarjapur or nearby areas. but we went to this place couple of fridays ago,and was pleased to see how spacious the bar section was. ample space to sit and sip your drinks. the starters were nice too except for the tiger prawn which the waiter pushed down on us moment he saw there was a gora with us. it was overcoked and rubbery ,waste of money. but other than the drinks were great and the other starters were pretty good. all in all must visit once ,especially if you dont want to drive from office to town for a good friday night.

Laid Back

The part I like the best is that it so much outside the bustle of the city. Nice and spread, with a lot of seating space and a big (not so stocked) bar!
I cannot comment much about the authenticity of the Goanese food, but I really liked the Grilled Pomfret with Butter Garlic. You can get it done according to your palate, the waiter comes to your table and makes sure that your fish is served the way you wanted. I had ordered for the good old Goanese Fish Curry & Rice, but they served Goanese Prawn Curry & Rice by mistake:) (Of course, I didn't complain) The Prawn Curry was exactly the same I had in Martin’s Corner in Salcette...with coconut milk and tamarind. However, I found the prawns a little undercooked. I ain’t sure if Goanese keep it a bit undercooked.
For me the idyllic setting and the live music (on Saturday evening) was the winner. And yes, the place's a bit heavy on the pocket.

Superb Ambience, Good food

I visited Fisherman's Warf last week for the lunch buffet. The property is superb. Very pleasant ambiance, good food. The service was a bit slow though, probably since the restaurant was full. I would say that for 399, its definitely VFM. Got fried prawans & chicken as startes along with veggie stuff.
Good main course and desserts, which included bebinca :)
Had prawns curry (goan) which could have been better if it was a bit more spicy. the fired Fish was awesome!

Needs more seafood options

The menu was quite limited vis-a-vis seafood choices. Mosquitoes were a plenty though. Getting attention of the staff took some of our evening and the food was okay. They had some challenges with grilling a fish which we didn't understand. I also felt the person we got was not quite up to speed. We had to remind him twice on everything. So I would say service was ordinary.

Average or Below

This isn't a great place at all. The food just isn't upto the hype. The food isn't close to any local goan shack too... The only reason I give it a 3 instead of a 2 is because in the evenings the ambience is better.. and again it's for the drinks only. Isn't worth the time to have food here. It's quite bad for corporate lunches too.... !

Nice,must visit

If you love open air, fish stuff, continental food, you must visit this place... although I am a vegetarian but my bong guy just loved it... the live orchestra too is a good thing there... service is good....and moreover it's the nearest walkable place... the FMW.... oh you'd like the ambiance and we see the same type of crowd there despite it's new and whatever day it be...! the staff's helpful n friendly.
Very much makes you feel Goan food is on in Bangalore and this is the place for it.
Relaxed space,Goan homely style decor and there are areas named on Goan beaches.
They do have kids area, separate bar space and waiting or say relaxing places with old style chair and yeah, the rocking chairs! Just loved the place n ambiance overall.

Amazing

There are only positive things to say about Fishermans Wharf. Friendly service coupled with amazing food lifts this restaurant to one of the top across the city in a short period of time. After dining there on multiple occasions the consistency of product was great. The knowledge of knowing whatever you order is of the highest quality is a life saver when taking important clients to dine there. You never have to worry about the standard and in some ways you wish more restaurants took a page of out the chef's book to create this kind of dining experience.

A slice of Goa in Bangalore!!!!

So thankful to The Fisherman's Wharf for opening so close to my home. Its a true blessing. The place is sprawling, huge and very nicely done up, gives you a feel of the classier joints in Goa. Been planning on going there since last 1 month and finally managed last weekend. There were 3 of us and we sat at the bar instead of the table. There was a 'live' band playing and music was soothing. We settled for KF pints and margaritas. For biting we ordered calamari fries & cajun tikkis. Dinner comprised of fish curry, prawn curry & rice. The portion sizes were great and we had a sumptuous meal. The weather was nice and breezie and we were transported to Goa for awhile. Love this place, love the food here. The best part was that the prawns were big sized in the prawn curry unlike other places were its actually a shrimp curry. There were plenty of seafood items on the menu and I will be back to sample more of those soon. Prices are quite reasonable, with drinks thrown in our bill came up to about 2,500 for the 3 of us. Good job guys!!!

No fishing here!!

Visited FW a few weeks ago. We are are seafood lover and wanted as much as we cook. For a open air restaurant the prices at first glance seemed steep. So our expectation of the food quality and taste was high too. I had three different cocktails and cant say anyone really met the mark. We tried the 3 to 4 different starters which were fine. Moving on to mains we had two fish curries and rice. We asked if the chef could make us a Fish Caldin famous dish in Goa. He said he could make it. The curry we got was nothing close to it. Well I cant expect a Chef from Jamshedpur to make me a typical Goan curry can I?

The ambiance is great in the afternoon (no idea what happens with the mosquitos in the evening), the food needs work if the pricing is going to stay the way it is.

amazing place

Amazing place .We went to Fishermans Wharf yesterday evening. To my surprise its very different and unique place. In Bangalore very difficult to find such spacious and spread out restaurant. Heaven for seafood lovers. You can select your own fresh catch of the day & they prepare you according to your preference .Food is awesome. Good music . Enough play area for children . I would recommend this place for family crowd .

Celebrations at the fishermans wharf.....

think of celebration, think the fishermans wharf. They help you plan your evening even if it is for a couple or for a group of people. This time we went for our Anniversary celebrations and this was just again perfect for the evening. We enjoyed the evening with togetherness. he starters were just awesome and we really enjoyed the rawa fried prawn. The main course was a comibaton of Fish curry and rice. the desserts were just awesome- we tried the alle belle and bibinca. the best part was with the drinks where the accompaniment is not charged making your drink all inclusive . great thinking. The ambience is just so beautiful, it reminded us of Goa. Just a perfect evening for my family.

We decided to go on Easter Lunch which was certainly had value for money. The place is lovely – setting will transform you to a typical Goa!! The place is a hidden gem - its tranquil, cool and serves some of the best food I have ever tasted and the price is right. All in all the staff were very helpful and courteous and we would not hesitate to go again.
