burrp! is an online urban lifestyle guide that helps people find places to go and things to do. Burrp! is driven by a vibrant and active community of users that share their opinions on lifestyle related businesses, events and other mediums. We provide the best platform for you to share what’s great and not so great about your lifestyle experiences.

Is burrp! free?

Absolutely! Every feature and function you see on burrp! is absolutely free for everyone.

Why use burrp!?

Why shouldn’t you just email or call your friends to ask them their opinions about certain lifestyle related experiences? There are a few reasons:

• We harness the wisdom of the crowds. Our platform aggregates the opinions of our users and presents you with a more complete reflection of a particular business, event or other entertainment option.
• We provide a platform where you can be loud and be seen! Our community members feel connected through burrp! and appreciate the ability to publicize their voice.
• We uncover stuff you might not have known about. By visiting burrp! regularly, you may discover certain places, events or other entertainment options that were never aware of! That’s the power of the community.

What should I do on burrp!?

Simple! Burrp! gives you the ability to find, rate, and then review lifestyle related local businesses and events. Our biggest categories today are restaurants, nightlife, cafés, and other eateries, but you will soon see other types of lifestyle related businesses, events and other entertainment options to discover on burrp! as well.

Who can see me or my reviews?

Everyone can! It is the best way to make sure our community values the truth over all things. Your profile picture, your burrp! ID, and your first and last name is visible to the entire community. Don’t be afraid to speak the truth. It's what makes burrp! so useful.

Is burrp! in my city?

Burrp! is currently live in most major metropolitan cities in India with a plan to expand to other major cities as well. Don’t worry! There are other features that will soon be made available on burrp! where your city makes no difference.

How do I find what I am looking for on burrp!?

One word. Search! Our powerful search bar up at the top of each city portal allows you to find exactly what you are looking for. It is split into two - in the first box, enter keywords such as Chinese, pav bhaji, bar or Shiv Sagar. In the second box, you can put in the locality that you’re interested in, such as Bandra (W) for the Mumbai portal for example.

Can I refine my search results?

Sure you can. The new and improved burrp! allows you to sort your results by many different parameters such as rating, price, and relevance. You can also filter your results by the type of place you are searching for by using the filters on the left hand side of the search results page.

What is Send 2 Phone?

Send 2 Phone is our most popular feature on burrp! You can send business listings to your phone in the form of an SMS for absolutely free! Just log onto http://www.burrp.com/, select your city, and search any business listing you find interesting enough to explore. Once you have found a particular business, find the Send 2 Phone link, enter in your mobile number, and wait for the SMS to come to your phone - and it's totally free!

PROFILE

How do I become a burrp! member?

We made it very easy. Go to http://www.burrp.com/ and select your city. Once you have done this, just look in the upper right hand corner to find the Sign Up button. You’re on your way to becoming a burrper!

How do I verify my account?

After you have signed up, we will send you a verification email to the email address you provided us while signing up. Just follow the very simple instructions in the email, and you’ll be done in less than 30 seconds.

How do I edit my profile?

Sign in using your burrp! ID and your password. Now look in the upper right hand corner and click on My Profile. When you see your profile page, you will also see an Edit Profile link under the search bar. Once you click on this, you can change your profile as you please.

INVITE

How do I invite my friends?

Very easy. One you have selected your city from http://www.burrp.com/, look directly above the search box and find the Invite Friends link. Enter in their email addresses and their names, and you’re done! Your friends will receive a personalized email from you inviting them to try burrp!

PRIVACY

What does burrp! do with my private information?

We take our burrpers privacy very seriously. We do not sell, share, rent, trade, or give away any of your personal information, unless required to do so by the law. We hate spam even more than you do.

If you feel that your personal privacy has been violated in any which way by either the community members or the company, please let us know by sending an email to legal@burrp.com.

WRITING REVIEWS

What makes a great review?

Said most simply, the truth makes the best review. Burrp! reviews are useful because people like you take the time to write thoughtful insights on the great and not so great aspects of lifestyle related business, events and other entertainment options.

The best reviews are personal and driven by real world experiences while also offering helpful suggestions and insider tips to those reading your review. Also, try to think of the unique qualities that make a business special or not so special.

Can I review a business I am connected to?

Sure. We like to have business owners and event organizers participate in writing reviews, but only as long as you are open and honest about your connection to the business or event in your review.

What if I had a bad experience? Can I write a negative review?

Absolutely - in fact, we encourage it. Again, burrp! is about telling the truth so that others can make more accurate decisions. Also, the power of the burrp! community may cause a business owner or event organizer to think about how to improve their business or event based on your honest reviews.

Does burrp! ever remove reviews?

Rarely. We are very confident in our community to speak the truth. But in some cases, the burrp! team may find certain problems with a review and be forced to remove it, such as:

• Disclosure problems - If we find out that you are somehow connected to a business or event and did not disclose it in your review, we will remove it.
• Second-hand experiences or hearsay - if your review is based on what your friend or co-worker thinks about a certain place, we will remove it. We’re only interested in hearing about your experiences.
• Personal attacks - just because you don’t like someone connected to a business or an event, burrp! is not the place to take out that aggression. Of course, if you were provided bad service by someone, feel free to write that in your review.
• Stereotypes and Discrimination - there’s absolutely no room for bigotry on burrp! so forget about gender, ethnic or class discrimination. We will take your review down if we find out about this.
