We went for the lunch buffet as a farewell treat for my 6 month internship. We had actually tried many other restaurants but apparently it was a 'Team Treat' season so everything was booked.
There was initially quite a queue, but the manager quickly made arrangements by joining 2 tables into a small space and making place for 7 of us. We were pleased as we had already felt the sting of rejection by most of the other restaurants.
The buffet is quite delightful and tasty. The soup served did taste well but there was absolutely no difference between the chicken and veg soup.. both were meatless.
The starters were so good that even a 'pure' non vegetarian like me took multiple servings of the Sweet babycorn and Bhutani Veg ( basically Gobi Manchurian). The Chicken Tikka and Egg Fry deserve a special mention as it was these dishes which prompted us to order for pints of Tuborg.
The main course wasn't anything extraordinary - The chicken biriyani and methi chicken were pretty average. The Chapala pulusu was less spicy and a bit too sour , but went really well with the rice.
The sweet dishes were a force to be reckoned with and really stole the show, even after having quite a bit of it we wished that there was more space in our stomach to accommodate more. The Gajar ka Halwa and Strawberry mousse stood out the most.
Overall a very worthy buffet spread for Rs 249/-
PS - The booze here is costly, each pint cost us Rs 140/-
