A perfect Value for Money Buffet

Haka is one of the most reasonable buffet places I have went. Its really good when you want Chinese food. It started with Chicken Coriander soup, chicken wantons, chicken lollipop and Veg sui mui. There were other veg starters which i didn't notice. Moving on to the main coarse, it started with chicken noodles, chicken fried rice, chicken in green curry, prawn, chilly fish, lemon chicken. The taste was not bad but better than the haka in manisquare. And even the variety was much more. The buffet ended with desserts which was decent. The staffs were good and polite and the ambiance was decent as well. Overall a 3.5/5

Good experience

Located in Salt Lake City Centre, this is one of the speciality restaurants which serve good Indianized Chinese. I was here recently for a dinner with my parents. The service is extremely courteous and prompt, and we ordered chicken and golden onion siu mai dim sums – brilliant, so soft and tasty, almost melting in the mouth. We also got a portion of fried rice, quite a good quantity for us, and Chicken in Kung Pao Sauce. It was a really nice dinner, with quick service, and good food.

Awesome Chinese

This is located in the second floor of City centre, the place is big with good seating arrangement. Ambiance is very good. I like the ambiance. Fried wantons are very good and tasty. Awesome gravy noodles. One plate always leaves me wanting another. Their lamb dish is delicious. Buffet is also available.
I have visited this outlet many times. Nice culinary experience for Chinese dishes.

Affordable Chinese

I've visited both the City center outlet , as well as the one in Mani square mall. Quality of the food is reasonable for the price you pay. The afternoon buffet is a lavish spread of a number of chinese dishes. All in all you get your money's worth if you don't want to splash too much cash on a lazy afternoon lunch.

Good Chinese for veggies (in fact one of the best)

I'd seriously liked the food. The buffet has been perfectly priced, the veg-items are delicious, the ambiance is good and the staff are very cordial. One of my carni-frnd didnt like the food that much (may be because you get better chinese in china town and other restaurants).. But for veggies, i found it extremely good. I am looking forward to visit this restro once again but unfortunately there are a very few vegans in this world. :P

The reason why I say this primarily deals with 1. Their reception 2. Their cost effectiveness. We were celebrating our 2nd anniversary on that particular day and unfortunately couldn't manage a cake in hurry. But the restaurant attendees quickly sensed our anguish and arranged for a cake all by themselves. That was really appreciable! And what goes more is that inspite of the wide range of items displayed on the buffet counter, the price is as reasonable as it gets! Weekdays INR315 (PH) and increases a bit on the weekends! And whoops I never manage to taste all the items presented on the shelves. KUDOS!

Ooh la la

Grand settings , grand buffet, that's all I can say! The Chinese menu on offer sure did my satiety centre no good , because I started having obsessive attacks about wanting to go back to Haka again and again! Thanks guys for making it so nice !

Just Awesome

I have been here many times. Just love it. Try out Lime & Pepper Chicken Soup with Prawn wantons/Mustard Prawn and Korean Fried Rice. Price is also affordable.

Value for Money...Walmart for Chinese Food..

Nice, brightly lit place with good ambiance... authentic "Chinese" food available..prices are moderate...portions are sufficient..service is friendly and helpful...seem to be genuinely concerned about customer feedback. Strongly recommended to people looking for authentic Chinese food in Salt Lake.

Chinese is my favourite cuisine and Caclutta does serve the best chinese. Haka is very affordable and a family restaurant. Its a bit noisy because too many large families come here. The service was good and food was served to us well within time, even with the numerous tables they had to serve.

The food is good and taste is'nt compromised because of the price paid for it. I'll visit it again if i need a budget meal :)

Cheap but mediocre fare

Haka is good for the times you really want to eat Chinese food at a big restaurant but don't want to spend too much. The food in nothing worth raving about, but it's edible enough & the portions are large, so who's complaining. Nothing you will remember.

Descent Buffet @ Rs.189/-

Recently I had been to this restaurant and had the buffet for lunch. Food is good. Service is very good. Ambiance is good too. Don't expect a hi-fi range of platter but comparing to the price (Rs. 189 + Tax) it's a fine option for a descent oriental lunch.

It's Good

Good Ambience, Affordable Price and Good quantity makes HAKA good. I have been here twice though I don't stay in Kolkata. Last time I went I really liked it. The soup and the starter was awesome. Some lemon clear soup I dont remember the exact name and wanton prawn. The service is also okk. I wont say best but definitely its good and worth a visit.

common fare

Not a good experience. Food smells abound. Ordinary food. Lapses in service. Just OK as an alternative to cooking at home in case one lives closeby.

Excellent food @ reasonable cost...

Haka definitely won my heart at the first go...proper ambience, delicious food, decent service at a reasonable cost - what more could a person expect???

The "Lime and Pepper" soup is one of their in-house specialities and is a sure try...it really lets ur senses loose...
The Dimsums are delicious and well-made...so is the Prawn in Hot Garlic sauce...

Overall, a place to take your family or pals for that "long delayed" treat or get-together!!!

Excellent Chinese Food in Citi Center

Excellent food (Tangra type Chinese), acceptable decor and ambiance at unbelievable low price.

I had been to Haka two weeks back. I was on tour to Kolkata and one of my friends from the Sector V, IT hub took me there for lunch. It was empty when we landed there at 12.45 noon, but by 1.00pm, this 100 seater was full with all IT crowds down from Sector V.

We had some clear Soups, some starter (dimsums), the main course in noodle and some side dish (I think it was prawns in chili oyster sauce). All inclusive 375 bucks....Couldn’t believe my eyes....the portions are pretty good, and the taste is as good as some of those Tangra joints.

I repeated it next day for my lunch.
