The beautiful kitchen at Kangan..was amazing to see.. We enjoyed our plump Tandoori Jhinga Samarkand with sweet tamarind chutney rather than the green chutney. Perfectly smoky with wonderful flavours of roasted garam masala and anardana powder, along with hints of ginger and garlic, this was a beauty. Tandoori Khatti Methi Macchli was also good.. The big chunks of cottage cheese were soft and filling. In all a good place with amazing food..
We happened to find this restaurant while going for coffee in the cafe, the cafe gives a beautiful view of the forest areas (Aarey Road I guess). Kangan is undoubtedly a perfect venue for dining. This evening we started to explore the city for dining options.
I have tasted many different foods in my time but this restaurant has views to die for with a menu you will just smile about. The waiters will recommend some dishes to you, I say.. MUST GO if you love authentic food. Both veg and non-veg are quite good. The methi subzi was really good. Some times the pap pads coming with drinks are not crisp, check out and get them replaced.
Must have Dal Makhani, Paneer Kadai with extra gravy, Tomato shorba soup, Garlic and Cheese naans. The experience of seating in a nice ambiant setting in the sky (on the 18th floor) and enjoying very good Indian recipies with your family is simply awesome.
