Treat for pizza lovers

The view is amazing. Totally stands by its name. By the bay. Evening time is the best to visit. Though a bit overpriced but a true delight.

Very expensive pizzas

I went there just once but was pretty disappointed with the food prices which doesn't make it worth it.

The ambiance is great as it overlooks Marine Drive but the pizza is overpriced.

We had a medium pizza once for over Rs 600.

The service is also very slow and worse on the weekends when we went.

Vege-Lovers Pizzaaa bestt

Pizza by the bay located in churchgate have beautiful sea view. Ambience is very good and service is also good but very expensive but if you want yummy Italian food you have to spend a little more. There are varieties of pizza and pasta in veg and non veg both. Garlic bread and minestrone soup are also too good. there mocktails and cocktails are too good.last time we had mojito and ice tea they were also good in taste. People those who want to experience real authentic pizza should visit here...

Too expensive

The best thing here is the ambiance and the amazing view of the marine drive and the sea that we get. The pizzas are good but way too expensive. Now even domino’s has improved their menu and you get 1 pizza here in the same amount that you can have 3 at domino’s. Not pocket friendly at all in that sense. Had Bombay masala pizza since heard so many good things about it, but it was basically so oily that I felt I had wasted 700 bucks in those 4 measly slices of nothing but oil and some masala. My friend ordered for veg supreme which had amazing toppings but that made the pizza bread a bit clumpy. All in all, would not go back here unless they revise their prices.

Love the view

Tried alio olio and margherita pizza at Pizza by the bay. Both the dishes were absolutely amazing, the margerita pizza is one of the best I've had after Juno's pizza at Kemps Corner.

The place is so amazing, I mean who doesn't love Marine Drive? You can sit and stare at that scenic views for hour and never get bored.

Love the place, the service, however, I wish was a little more efficient.

price is just way too much

It is a very famous place, for pizzas-bombay masala pizza is the best which my friends love the most. They have a soup, sandwich, dessert buffet every afternoon which is value for money in my opinion. If you order for individual items,I think it is unnecessarily expensive. Ofcourse there is the unmatched view of marine drive and Arabian sea if you sit near the wide windows,so maybe you would like to pay for it. I for one would rather go for buffet than pay 700 for 1 pizza that is sufficient for just 1 person-5 star prices is exorbitant!

Sunday Breakfast

Love to come here for breakfast on sundays. Good choice and their location can't be matched. Either have a jog and then breakfast here or eat and have a walk down the promenade. Now they have an additional offer of Rs. 199 breakfast on which makes it VFM also. Their smoothies and drinks are priced slightly on the higher side hovering around the 150 area. Pick a spot next to the window and you get to see the sea and exotic cars whizz by. Service too is pretty fast.

Pizza at the PAY!

Pizza by the bay is situated at a nice corner right in front of marine drive. It is really overpriced. And there is too much hype around it. Pizzas aren't that great. Its almost 5 times the price of a pizza you get at Pizza Hut or Dominoes. And the taste is almost the same. It has an open bar. Drinks are nice but they too are pricey. The good thing is the location. And I guess that's the only good thing about it.

No matter how many times they change their name, they still serve the best piza in town. i love this place during the rains. The perfect view of the Arabian sea and the rain splashing on the window makes it so romantic. Amazing View, Good Food Too!

I absolutely love the ambiance here!! The way they have designed two sections is excellent because the outer section makes you feel like you have a bit of an outdoor feeling without actually being outdoors, and being subjected to the noise & pollution that is nearby. However, you are not compromising on the lovely views of the Arabian Sea! The indoor section has a more of a European Bistro feel and also looks inviting. Although, I have personally always opted for the outdoor like section because I love looking out into the sea while enjoying the pizza. The Pizzas and appetizers are really nice. This is honestly one of the better slices of pizza you can get in South Mumbai. I have noticed then when I ask the servers to keep the pizza in the oven slightly longer than the normally do, they turn out much better. Ask them to make the pizza well-done and you will be pleasantly surprised!

Nice Service

I visited this place last month and had a bit different experience I ordered the veg salad ... had some mood to eat salad that day . the salad was nice and colorful as expected nicely presented .. but after awhile i hit upon a bug in the salad ... and I notified it to the serving waiter .. they took this very seriously and manager on duty came to serve me a new dish and requested not to reorder the salad as it would take some time to clean the stock of salad in the kitchen. After I finished they served me a complementary brownie, it was very delicious ... I asked for my bill after I finished ... and they charged me nothing and the manager said everything I had ordered was made complementary on account of cook's flaw in serving the salad.. a very nice service ... the food was also tasty ... except about the bug every thing was nice

Great Ambience - Very Average Food

Reached at 10.30 pm for a late night pizza. The simple thin crust margherita was soggy like a tandoori naan and very average. The fig ice cream on a brownie was a disaster. Stale brownie and biscuit meant that the ice cream was delicately scooped up and eaten. To redeem taste buds a chicken salad was ordered with the explicit instruction and acknowledgement that rocket leaves be added. We got the yes sir treatment and ofcourse no rocket. So to sum it up, ho hum food, great ambience (which is worth going and paying for), friendly staff but definitely not a gourmet joint. A pity since the earlier avatar was more of a friendly family/grabbing a bite with friends kind of place. The new white marble and airconditioned glass area raises expectations only to dissapoint

Okay..

Staying in South Mumbai and having my college nearby, had always thought of going to this place. Finally one day went to this place, also known as Jazz By the Bay, with my cousins to celebrate one of my cousins b'day. Another reason for choosing this place was because he is a Pizza Lover. Being Vegetarians we ordered for 2 varieties of Pizza's. The taste was ok. Not to our liking completely. May not go there again.

Old favourite, now overpriced

Pizza by the Bay aka Not just Jazz by the bay aka Pizzeria has always been a favourite haunt for pizza lovers. This place is a must visit, especially at the start of the monsoons since it is great for people watching and the lovely sea face on Marine Drive. This place has always had the most amazing Bombay Masala Pizza which is different from ANY plain cheese pizza that you can get anywhere. The jalapeño cheese poppers are also top notch as is the iced tea.

However lately the prices have just gone through the roof. 800 bucks for a 12'' plain cheese pizza is just crazy, even as per 5 star hotel standards. Is it yet worth it? Definitely not, instead I suggest the awesome buffet inside which is yet one of the best value for money buffets in South Mumbai.

Worth only for the Sea View

Pizza by the bay - the good old Pizzeria's new name. The name may have changed but the location , the ambiance (the best thing about this venue) remains the same. And so does most of the menu too. The pizzas are suitable Indianized, so don;t go there expecting an authentic Italian experience. What's the best part of having a meal at this place is simply getting one of those table that give you an unobstructed view of the Arabian sea, the famous Queen's necklace glittering in all it glory shining back at you(though it's ground floor so its not exactly the necklace view) Off late the bruschetta has became my least favorite as it arrived a bit soggy and heavy. The avocado prawns on the other hand were fairly decent and the accompanying sauce (the name I donot remember unfortunately) was great. Then we had the marine Drive salad (in parts due to its name and in parts for my love of tuna). It had tuna, salad greens, capers and far too much potato then I would have liked. Then finally the pizza...we ordered the Indian smoke (which is tandoori paneer and mushroom pizza) and stuffed crust meat pizza (which had pepperoni, sausage and pork) The vegetarian pizza seemed far better in taste surprisingly. The stuffed crust was just baked a bit too hard and was unchewy. At the end of it I just couldn't continue eating it and shared the veg pizza with my friends. Another friend tried the pot pie and absolutely didn't like it. I was not interested in even trying it after the stuffed pizza debacle so basically all of attacked our poor vegetarian friend's pizza! All in all, this is a place I would go to purely for the views and not much else. And to think of it I can enjoy the view for free simply by sitting at the promenade, so perhaps that's a better option.

Strictly OK

We went there with my parents to try the lunch buffet, the decor & ambiance is great, the view is superb as well. The service is efficient & prompt, however the food leaves a lot to be desired, the salad bar is not up to the mark, a lot of salads were old & reused. The main courses & the dessert spread as well was not up to the mark, every since the place converted from Jazz by the Bay to Pizza by the Bay they seem to have lost their original charm. Will not be going back there for sure!!!

The Bumbai Pizza!

This not so pocket friendly placed got renovated recently. They converted the bar inside to a full time fine dining place. Right opposite the point lies this uptown pizzeria. Good things first they have the best pizzas in town. The bombay masala being the favourite is typical spices seasoned on top pizza lovely to have with ketchup. It offers great white sauce pastas too. The cheese garlic bread is the highlight with slices of bread attached to each other by cheese which melts in your mouth. The bad thing about it is they have hiked those prices four fold. With the damage it causes to the wallet what was first a frequent visit pizzeria has turned into a lets go there once a year pizza place.

Aweful experience

I was a big fan of Pizzeria.. when it was Pizzeria.. but off late the quality sucks... Went there yesterday evening... Ordered an Indian smoke pizza (Paneer, mushroom, peppers and onion). We dont like mushrooms hence asked them to not add it. The pizza we got had exactly 3 small pieces of green capsicum with loads of paneer. When we complaint, they added few more pieces of green capsicum and served it. When i clarified to them that peppers and capsicum are 2 different things and they have other pizzas with capsicum in their menu, the argument the waiter gave was that pepper is only when there is mushroom... such a ridiculous explanation. sorry, but it was also bland and tasteless. in addition to that, the manager was also sarcastic when i tried explaining him. So, in summary, BAD food..equally BAD service..and i dont think i m going back their again.. though it wouldn't matter to them because people still go there because of good memories of Pizzeria days.. but not me..

A fragrant slice of Mumbai!

The fragrance of their freshly baked pizzas and garlic bread are enough to make a passerby stop, drool and indulge! Over the last 15 years, I have been one of them.

Many memories attached to this place.. My very first outing here was as a 7th standard school kid with school buddies celebrating the completion of our exams. It was the first time we were out completely by ourselves (without any adult accompanying us). What an amazing feeling it was to sit by the sea, order our favourite pizzas and pay for it out of our pocket money! Back then, it was Rs. 120 for a 12 inch pizza!

But times change and so did the name, management, prices and so many other things connected to this place! Even my frequency of visiting here decreased. But the one thing which remains constant are their amazing pizzas and their all-time classic location by the sea which defines what Mumbai means to me!

We've been around for a long time, and over the years many things about the restaurant have changed, but we've tried to maintain the same spirit and vibe that has made the restaurant what it is today. We are so glad that we managed to keep the guests who have helped build us up to where we are today satisfied and we hope you remain a regular visitor. :)

5 star experience call the way

I've loved this place since the time I discovered it about 5 years ago. I go there almost every time I'm in town. They've recently done it up to create a brand new experience called The Pizzeria. The place now looks 100% more sexier. Their pizza variety tastes just the same. On my recent visit I had the Bombay Masala - this is my usual favorite and believe me I've even not tried any other pizza here. As an appetizer I had the Brocolli and Pinola salad. That was yum too. Overall again my experience more or less remained the same and that's good. It's a must visit if you're in the area.

Great place and Delicious pizzas

Great place to enjoy some delicious pizzas. The restaurant has an amazing location just as the name goes its by the bay and has a great ambience. The food here is really good.A bit on the expensive side but the quality of the food is definitely up to the mark.
This place is a must try if your'e bored of domino's and pizza hut and want to try something really new .Me and my friends ordered a quad pizza which comes with four different pizza toppings in the same pizza. The pizza was really good probably the best I've had.Desserts here are okay .The blueberry cheesecake was nice but I've had better.I'll definitely recommend this place for pizzas. My only complaint is that the place is always full and chances are you'll have to wait a while before you get a table. Also the food takes some time but its worth the wait.

dissapointed

I visited pizza by the bay one busy day, i could understand they were packed but people with no reservations got a table before us. we began to order, we ordered a pizza, a few starters, a pesto pasta and a sparkle water drink. The pizzas and starters came but the pasta and the drink did not come. we waited an hour as we were hungry and could not waste time going to another restaurant. after this long wait we asked them how long the pasta would take, they said they dont make pesto pasta. After waiting for so long we were told that we were not going to get what we wanted. We were disgusted with the service and left that moment.

So sorry to hear you did not have a good service experience. When we renovated PBTB and designed the new menu we had nothing but the customer experience in mind. It is disappointing to hear that the service was not up to the mark and everything came out the wrong way. We certainly would like you to give us another chance. The only explanation I have – and please don’t take this as an excuse – is that the restaurant was brand new, packed and we were simply overwhelmed by the amount of guests. We are confident that today you would have a great experience. Again, our sincere apologize! Please give us a shout when you visit us again to make sure we take care of you.... and btw, of course we have Pesto :)

Great view, good food

The pastas at pizzeria are almost as good as the pizzas!! We ordered a simple Arabiatta and it was scrumptious.
The pizza I ordered, stuffed crust tandoori paneer, though, was disappointing. It was, basically, tasteless. Realised for the first time what too-much-of-cheese meant. But the garlic bread and everything else, was spot on.

La meilleure pizza à Bombay

Loose translation - Ladies and gentlemen, look no further for the finest pizza in Bombay. Pizzeria, a simple name but that is what they are for – to serve the most delectable and scrumptious pizza. Pizza which is original and truly pizza – and not just toppings on a piece of puffed bread.Having lived near the border of France and Italy for more than quarter of a year and having savored the finest of pizzas, I had missed this delicacy till the time I ate in this quaint little eatery with chic red and white chequered tables. The same crisp and cheese layered crust, and measly cheese just sprinkled on. The same flavor and the same Nostalgia..!!! An ambience to die for ... you can relish your pizza watching sun set in the Arabian sea or catch the fast moving traffic on the Queen’s Necklace itself, feeling like a King yourself. They have soups, salad and sandwich lunch buffet @ 275Rs per person, but the real catch is the Pizza.

- Bombay Masala (It Rules)- Chicken BBQ & Capsicum
- Four Seasons (Four equal quarters topped with Chicken, Corn, Paneer Tikka and Capsicum)- Veggie Supreme. The Chicken and Capsicum pizza could do with more color by having yellow and red bell pepper sprinkled along with the green ones :). The above pizzas are to die for. The starters are good (but measly portions). The bread used in the Garlic bread as well as the Bruschetta (French bread sprinkled with cheese, tomatoes and basil) is oh..so..French in taste. Loved it .. But they should start serving the side dishes for Indian appetites and not French appetites. The starters are prized between 65-125 Rs, the pasta and risottos start are prized between 200-270 and the main deal – The Pizza, between 350-480 Rs for a 12 inch (Large) one. A meal for two can safely cause a damage of around 600-700 Rs. Waiting time (for a table) on a weekend can be about an hour after 9pm. The service is brisk, cheerful and helpful. Addressing the stewards by their names (as displayed on their badges) may gain you more attention and a smile than you would with an “Excuse Me”The crowd is a fair sprinkle of the townie families, the wannabe city dudes and dudettes and the firang janta, who can’t get more out of their beer. The Indian-Firang ratio can be safely determined to be 70-30 in this peak tourist month of January. The only flipside to this eatery can be – the lack of Tiramisu (No Italian meal is complete without this famous dessert cake) on the menu in the Desserts section and for the teetotalers like me, they serve only Ice Tea, Lime Soda and Pepsi (No Coke) Overall, the best place to have VFM pizza in Bombay. I would end up my review with wishin you a good meal.Bon àppetit.

I have been going to this place from college days and the last time I have been was 1-2 weeks back. But all this time, the taste has amazingly never changed. The Best Pizzas in Mumbai

Yup, this is the place to have pizzas if you are in Mumbai. The Bombay Masala is my personal favourite. Located along Marine Drive, the open format allows the sea breeze to create a great ambience. And for those who are thirsty, you have some nice beers available here. If that's not enough, you could simply hop into the adjoining joint - 'Not Just Jazz By The Bay.'

Good food, great place

This place has got a good collection of pastas. But if you are watching your weight, then this place is the devil for you. However, if it is some solace, the pastas are worth dying for, cheesy and creamy and well prepared with just the right amount of seasoning.
However, in recent times I have been noticing their serving portions are reducing. That prompts you to order more than you can eat. Which is why I said it can be hell for the weight watchers. But this place is worth a go. For the experience of overlooking the Marine Drive and the seas beyond, for the overhead ceiling fans whirring lazily, for the white and red chequered table cloths and the entire al fresco experience of eating, though this one has to be indoors, given Mumbai's climate.

The red checkered tables and cute chairs, breeze from the sea mingled with the aroma of olive oil and pizzas, the view of the Queen's Necklace is Pizzeria. There is nothing to say about the food here because you order anything and it is good. Bombay Masala rules!

By far my favourite Italian restaurant in the city especially for pizzas. Bombay Masala or just the Margarita Pizza are all simply fabulous. Not to forget the Jalapeno n Cheese Poppers along with some pasta - e - funghi. And all in a superb 'round-the-corner' ambience. Only thing missing is some air-con especially in the summers. The menu has been revamped some weeks ago, and the best veg dish (Mushroom Melt) was taken off the menu, dont understand why? All said n done, this one's a total winner!
