Chilled out place

Me and my friends often frequent this place to just chill out and unwind after a busy week. It is a kind of place where you have your fix order. And mine is Burger and Chilly cheese Toast. The BBQ paneer is a must try.The music is very good adding to the comfort and happiness. My vegetarian friends ordered a sizzler which I heard was pretty good as well.! All in all a pretty good experience

so colorful!

I've been hearing good and bad reviews about this place for quite some time now. Finally, a went here with two of my friends. The place was empty as it was a Tuesday afternoon. The waiters were quick and brought our food within 10 minutes.
For appetizers, we ate Nachos with Beans and Salsa Sauce and Hot and Spicy Chicken and for the main course we ate Chicken in Pepper Garlic Sizzler and Slow Cooked Lemon Chicken (Mini Meals). This cost us Rs. 1500 (with taxes), which we thought was good enough as the quantity was much and the three of us were super full.
The place is pretty and i love the bold red and blue colors. The wallpapers and the lamps give this place a vintage look all together. The only complain we had was that the music was too loud and the woofers began irritating us in no time.
My experience here was great overall but again, i don't know how their services would be if the place is crowded with bustling orders.

A Mixed Experience

The food is alright at Some Like it Hot and the music was too loud for my liking. The crowd is young and so it is a nice place to frequent on Saturday nights.
The service is a little slow but the pricing is decent and make for a good time with friends for sure.

Worth a try

Some like it hot is a resto bar; where all the food is a tad bit spicy. The look of the place reminded me of the malt shop in the old Archie comics; with electric colors everywhere & neon lights blinking in all corners of the place. They have an extensive food & beverage menu. The food is a mix and match from corners of the world. As we had already had drinks earlier we decided to go straight for the main course. My wife had the thai green curry which normally comes with buttered rice; however our server was flexible enough to offer her some steamed rice instead. I decided to go for the barbecue chicken sizzler. The food arrived together as we had requested & at the optimal temperature. The thai green curry was very flavorsome; though it did lack that taste of galangal (Thai Ginger) & a hint of Kefir lime. The sizzler was good; apart from the fact that it just wouldn't stop sizzling !!! Just a word of caution to the chef; by heating up the place so much & such a long sizzle can cause the bed of cabbage to burn really quickly & begin to char the chicken, the rice, the french fries (which did get a bit soggy) & the vegetables. The sizzler was you run of the mill variety when it came to the accompaniment; however the chicken stood out; it was perfectly cooked & coated with an amazing blend of barbecue sauce. The portion sizes were so big that we could not finish our main courses. For dessert we ordered the sticky brownie which came with a dollop of vanilla ice cream; the brownie was a bit dry towards the center & tasted more like a chocolate cake; there was a layer of melted & reformed Ganache but only on the top of the brownie. The service was good; the wait staff were knowledgeable & prompt. The prices are reasonable; this place is definitely worth a visit!!!

Good for dinner with friends

Some like it hot is a good place for a casual dinner and drinks with friends. They have good pastas and starters. Their pizzas are decent and tasty. The portion of the food is something you don't need to worry about. The nacho's with cheese is yum and filling for two people itself. Their saslik paneer sizzler is a must try. The music is really upbeat making the place perfect to unwind after a long day. The prices are not too expensive but the service could definitely improve. No one likes to call for the waiters repeatedly and not listened too. been there two three times now and not disappointed with the food ever and would definitely recommend going there once.

Karoke Thursdays, Helpful Staff & Great Food

Had a hectic Thursday and you don't think you can make it till the weekend without an immediate dose of life....help has arrived. The perfect place to lighten up your Thursday, the karaoke is a hit amongst the crowd, the food is much better than most of the joints serving the similar cuisine, the chicken lasagna is absolutely delicious though the wood fried pizzas do not live up to the expectations, experiment with anything on the menu and quite frankly it will not disappoint. the cocktails are stirred up to perfection and if you are lost in the menu like most of us desi's..simply ask the waiter..yahan pe kya accha milta hain...he'l be obliged to answer.

Happy to be here

This place is an all time favourite,be it with frens or with family an absolutely foodie place.
The things to binge on are the cheesy fries and absolute hit, the morrocon chicken is my all time favourite here.. they also recommend a chicken starter on skewers which is equally good.
The waiters there are swift with services
The alfredo pasta is just so creamy and good can ra te it better than the one served in any italian joint.
The rose wine served here is an absolute ust try for wine lovers , visitng them during the happy hours is a common trend but like ways as they serve food all day just chilling in at the place is a great option too.
Coming to desserts the creme bruelle is a 5/5 followed by mochachino mouse cake and tiramisu..
Amazing time spent here always and will never get enough of this place called some like it hot !

Say Cheeeese fondue!

Cutting straight to business, go for the Cheese fondue! Even if you're not a big fan of cheese, you must try this one. And if you're not looking for a gourmet experience, Thursday night is when you should totally be here! Happy hours and a Bollywood Karaoke Night on Thursday if sure to keep you so entertained that you won't bother ordering food. The service is decent and the ambience is peppy and casual, perfect for a chilled out evening with friends. Also the fact that the guests comprise mostly of the young crowd and working professionals adds to the whole vibe of the place.

Good place to have drinks and food

The theme of the restaurant exactly matches its name "some like it hot!"
Enter the place and you immediately feel like grooving to the music that is played in there! The place is lit up with warm colored lights mostly reds and yellows and have red hot seats.

Some like it Hot gives you great food, brilliant ambience and warm service at very good prices! They even have Happy Hours to let you enjoy a couple of drinks before biting into their yummy food.

The pastas and pizzas are yumm and filling!

Cool Place!

Celebrated my birthday wid friends at Some Like It Hot. Had heard about the whacky ambience abot the place! Finally gave it a try...

Ambience- Place is nicely done..Comfortable Red Sofas give a good look...Lights are dim...I thought that the place will be brighter...

Food- We were a group of 16...so ordered Nachos, Corn Cheese Balls and Bruschetta for starters.....Pretty nice! Pasta was also good! Pizza was a thin-crust one....not that great for my liking! Overall it was good! :)

Service- Good Service...They gave us a Complimentary cake...:D

Prices- Little Pricey! But its Ok! Pop Tates is a slightly better option.

Verdict- Try it! :)

& most love it!

I'm getting several names for it...dunno wat to call it..the olive of andheri, hidden pearl or just a MUST try for all foodies. After much research we decided to check this place out on a friday night..missed it on the road for the first time as the location has pretty poor visibility or rather unfriendly which slightly dampened our spirits as to how the place would be, nevertheless we got it and started walking towards...its nestled in a building which seemed newly constructed. From the entrance we walked up to the place. Was surprised by the laid back decor and friendky staff. Settled in the
Place quite comfortably. Started with pomegranat surprise which was superb and rightly priced, the other mocktail was black beauty which again did not disappoint. The side order was garlic bread which was fresh. Went for a cheese paprika fondue which came with bread and fruit pieces, this went quite well with our mocktails. The cheese had the right consistency and dippings like dill and olives went well with it. We were pretty much full after this so decided to share one of the main courses..after looking at the several interesting options we settled for a sphagetti in white sauce- this was average when compared to italian masters like don giovani but still was good enough for a light dinner. Felt like taking the much reverred dessert but left it for next time. Will be back here definitely.
Ambience 7/10
Service 7/10
Food 7/10
Mocktails 7.5/10
Location 5/10
Price/VFM 7/10

Must Visit

Some Like it Hot lives up to its name. The place is really good.Nice ambiance and a welcoming staff.Been there thrice now and it has not disappointed yet. They have a projector in there, makes for a good Football/Cricket match. The food is pricing is just. The portions are good.Alcohol still is on the high side(Blame the government for that). The music is usually Hip Hop and Pop.

For the starters:Nachos (3.5/5),Garlic Bread(3/5),American Cheese corn balls(3/5),Weges(4/5)
Main course:Sizzler(3.5/5),Pizza(2/5)Not really a fan of thin crust pizza,Pasta(4/5),Cheese Fondue(4.5/5)

I hope they add on more to their dessert section.I'd reckon this place to all.

Customer Service... Where ?

We have been visiting this place since its inception, and probably know most of the staff that works there. This past Sunday, when I went there to celebrate my birthday, celebrations turned into nightmare. We gave our car for valet parking to a driver, told him that there were couple of laptops inside the car. After an hour when we come back, the side window glass of the car was broken, and the two laptops were stolen. The car was barely parked 50m from the restaurant and the guard was asleep or on a break, whatever. The manager or staff did not even bother to tell us about this when it happened, forget about being alert or owning responsibility for it. The heights of arrogance, one of the managers came after an hour while we were scrambling around, and told us that its not their responsibility. I mean COME ON! This is what we expect from you after being one of the first customers to your place, telling your driver that laptops are in the car, and a guard is supposed to be keeping a watch all the time, and all this time the car was parked like 50m from the place. It's been 4 days and still no word from them, this is what you call customer service, or did they have a hand in all this, I'll never know. But this is absolutely arrogant and shameless behavior by the restaurant management. Really shame on you -

Orgasmic Stuff!

I landed up here only because WTF! was too crowded on a late Sat night! But boy o' boy, little did I know it's going to be "find of the year"!!

On a hungry stomach we ordered barbecued chicken wings, nachos with cheese, garlic bread, charmula chicken and fried squids over some beer. The price had already knocked us over till food started arriving barely 5 mins later. The perfectly smoky sweety wings, crunchy tangy squids and super soft garlic bread was nothing like I had in recent time.
The smiling waiter, upbeat pop music, chilled beer and sheer energy of the place only added to the over all experience. There were celebs too!
I could not hold back smile and tip some more when I saw a mere 3% service charge in the bill.
GO GO GO! It's THE place if you like affordable good food and cheap booze in Mumbai.

Meeting + Food = Awesomeness

Had a meeting with an IT manager of a company so we decided to meet @5.00pm at this place as this is the only place in Andheri west which is open at this time and also a common location for both of us.

Though I had a meeting here but also had food here. As i have already been to this place many times so i decided to order a different pasta this time so i end up ordering one "Mushroom and Broccoli Cajun pasta". Though the other person with me just ordered one Glass of beer for himself.

The pasta i had is the best one. Can't compare it with the little Italy.. but this pasta was just awesome. I never had this kind of Pasta.

Finally found a place for a Meeting and also to enjoy your food along with the meeting.

will not go back disappointed

Well yes this place did have a name which made me think twice before going...but ahh well the fliexbile happy hours which suited my time eventually dragged me there...AND I AM GLAD IT DID!!!! sharing the floor with masala mantar....the ambience being all red is pretty catchy.....sat down...called in for the first pitcher...and browsed throught the "RED" menu card too....decent vareity...but my favourites still stay the BBQ chicken wings...it is soo full of flavour!!!! the next not to be missed items are their thin crust pizzas w hich they recently added to the menu....the peri peri pizza and the spicy chicken pizza (not mentioned in the menu but if u tell the waiter u can get it) truly justified the name of the joint....and the pizzas were DELLLLIIIIICIOOUUSSSS!!!!!!!!....
yes the music varies...sometimes retro..sometime classic rock....and they got tvs set up for viewing at every place u sit...so ideal for matches to be caught......over all an amazzing place to chill back with ur friends...and if u catch the happy hours nothing like it!!!!
i definitly am from the "SOME" that like it hot!!! :)

Sizzling Hot And Happening!!

With the number of 'desi' diners in Mumbai, modeled on the lines of 'asli' diners from the US of A, how does one break through the clutter and emerge with the perfect recipe for success?

Trust Tony Singh, the man with the Midas touch and responsible for successes like Pop Tate's Urban Tadka, Masala Mantar to come up with an all new concept which wows you on every parameter and delivers an all round fantastic experience - be it culinary, ambiance, service or price!

In my opinion, the biggest risk with setting a restaurant like Some Like it Hot is the risk of becoming a me-too to successes like Pop Tate's and other diners in the same genre.

But Some Like It Hot, smartly steers clear and comes up with a concept which is brand new, in the face, instantly likeable and memorable.

Modeled on the lines of international diners - red patent leather seating, diffused lighting, wacky and eternal black and white photographs on the wall of Hollywood greats, makes for a great ambiance. The seating is comfortable, with tables cleverly designed to provide some privacy while giving a feeling of openness at the same time. A huge screen in front which is a must these days, make up the interiors on one side. The other side is has a long bar with tables and a huge wood oven at the very end.

The most awesome 'return' factor for us was the retro music, right out of 80's - Uptown Girl meets Safety Dance meets Karma Chameleon meets What's Love Got To Do With It, Time after Time and more!! The selection just makes your day or night if you are a sucker for some flashback to the 80's.

Coming to the food, the menu is neat, explanatory and has enough variety to please all. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids who were immensely satisfied with the items we ordered.

Starting with the cheese garlic bread which had loads of melted cheese spilling off the just right buttery garlic toasts we moved on to Chicken Hot and Spicy, an Oriental starter with succulent pieces of chicken accompanied with grilled capsicum pieces.

The nachos with cheese and salsa sauce was a winner and had us asking for more helpings of the tasty salsa sauce immediately.

Another starter we enjoyed was the chicken Morgan which had flat pieces of chicken grilled to perfection and had some really great flavors quite distinct from the Oriental chicken we tried earlier.

Best thing about this place is that they have happy hours - 1 on 1 free - as early as 3 PM - yes that's right, 3PM in the afternoon. As we were having a late sunday lunch, this worked perfectly fine for us and the huge, chilled pitcher of beer was repeated on the house due to the happy hours!

The main course too was fabulous. We decided to order a wood smoked thin crust chicken tikka pizza for the kids - which was yummier than expected, amazingly crisp loaded with juicy chicken tikka exploding with flavor and taste! The kids had a ball as the 10 incher and more than enough for both of them.

The adults decided to try the sizzlers and we were real glad that we opted for them. The chicken oriental sizzler served with a generous helping of their trademark pepper, garlic sauce was outstanding. Chicken, vegetables, instead of french fries and noodles instead of rice, was the right combination for the delicious meal easily enough to satisfy the appetite of 2 adults. Not to forget the hash brownie and grilled onions, dripping with the house sauce were the highlight of the sizzler. Mmmm, yummy!

The second sizzler - fish in pepper sauce had huge pieces of tender boneless basa fish, accompanied with generous helping of mashed potato and flavored rice. Though on the spicier side, we loved the amazing flavors as the mild mashed potatoes were a perfect foil for the spicy fish! Awesome!

Before I get to the desserts, must mention the Service, which is quick, attentive and excellent ! Do keep in mind that the starters arrive on the table within 10 minutes of ordering which is a huge achievement and must be due to great processes working like clockwork at the back-end. And this was in spite of the restaurant being nearly full. A commendable achievement. All the staff is friendly, helpful, ever smiling (importantly), attentive and eager to please.

As we had quite a lot of customized ordering in terms of flavors and ingredients, we were interacting with Manager Sonu Singh who is an absolute delight as he has an outstanding understanding of the nuances associated with flavors and condiments. Sonu was very helpful and kept a watchful eye on every table, unobtrusive, inquiring every few minutes if everything was in order. He has always been around for guests at all times, recommending the new variations in terms of the drinks and starters.

Besides Sonu, John Quadros and Luke Serrao the other managers at Some Like It Hot and Masala Mantar next door always go out of their way to keep guests satisfied to ensure a repeat audience. Whether it is customized orders, requirements in terms of flavors and spices, super fast orders if you are in a hurry and friendly service, they are always ready to oblige.

Moving on to their desserts counter, which is in demand at all times, occupies pride of place at the entrance which is common for both the restaurants. Gooey sticky brownies, which were over by the time we finished lunch :( So we opted for the Mango cheesecake, crème brulee and B-52.

We loved the mango cheesecake, which was perfect for the season, just the right amount of sweetness and the awesome flavor of rich alphonso mangoes. The creme brulee - glazed, chocolaty, coffee flavored with a thin crisp layer of browned sugar on top was a treat and polished off in no time. But above all the star dessert, their piece-de-resistance was B-52. An awesome goblet of Kahlua, Amaretto and Bailey's Irish cream covered with loads of chocolate filing. The flavors of the Kahlua and Irish cream combined with rich chocolate is so addictive that I guarantee you will want to go for the second helping too.

Coming to the pricing, it's on the reasonable side. Around Rs. 200 for starters, Rs. 275 for sizzlers and around Rs. 500 for a pitcher of beer. A good meal with desserts and drinks for 2 would cost in the range of around Rs. 1500 at the maximum.

A winning recipe, this one which entices you to try it out again and again. Go for it!

True to its name

We went to this place on Sunday evening... reached just in time for happy Hours.. ordered 1 mojito and Bacardi Limon ( decent prices) ... Then we ordered Hash Brown which were a bit dissapointment as they were similar to aloo tikki at Juhu roadside... then we ordered Chicken Pepper which was good and the quantity was enough for 2 people... for mail course we had chicken pepper curry with rice which was wonderful, the quantity was good and nice preparation.

The staff was courteous, music was contemporary and the place had a nice peppy ambience. it was a good place for a date as well as outing for a family. A meal for two with 2 drinks costed us 1300, which is very reasonable.

Food - 8/10
VFM - 9/10
Ambiance - 8.5/10
Staff - 9.5/10

Super Hot!

I went to this super duper fantabulous restaurant for my friend Rahul’s birthday and I just can’t wait to tell you what I thought of it! Read jjjallldddiiii!!

Food- Some like it Hot has a menu full of yummy things! Pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, sizzlers, risottos, burgers, soups, salads, fondues, Mexican food, mocktails, cocktails and what not! We called for the Paprika Cheese Fondue. They served it with grapes, bread, apples and some pickle and trust me, it’s the best I’ve ever had! We tried the creamy cheese pizza with mushrooms, olives and American corn as toppings which made the pizza taste delicious too! There was the Mexican Risotto with less cheese which was ok, could have been better. The Fusilli Alfredo pasta and Spaghetti Arabiatta pasta which also tasted really good. The non-vegetarians had Hot n Spicy chicken, mustard chicken which got over pretty quickly so I’m assuming it was good too. The mocktails were a little disappointing though. I didn’t like Pomegranate Surprise at all and neither did anyone else who tried it. The Long Island Iced teas were decent. The quantity of food is very good and so is the taste. So it gets full marks in that department!

Ambience- Its located in Andheri west, next to 4 Bungalows and Lokhandwala. The décor is superb! The colours, the fun stuff on the walls, the black and white checked flooring, red seats and everything about the interiors is just amazing! I love it and so will you! Some like it Hot lives up to its name, only, instead of some, most will like it ‘cause it’s totally hot! :P They play great music too! From Whigfield’s Sexy Eyes to We no speak no Americano to a lot of foot tapping numbers, this place is fun, lively and charming.

Service- Since one of the people in our little group knew the manager there, we got excellent service. They were warm, recommended some really nice things to eat and didn’t mind the noise we made. Also, at 12, since it was my friend’s birthday they came with cake together singing with a lit candle. Now that’s really sweet!

Prices- Some like it Hot gives you great food, brilliant ambience and warm service at very good prices! They even have Happy Hours to let you enjoy a couple of drinks before biting into their yummy food. We were about 8 of us and the bill amount came up to less than 3500 which included alcohol, mocktails and food which filled us all up to the brim. I’d say its full value for money!

Verdict- In spite of it being more than an hour away from my place, I know that I’d definitely go there again. I loved everything about it! So I suggest you go give a shot to Some like it Hot!

I like it HOT !!!

An amazing Ambiance my wife just Loved it as it was a Surprise for her on her Birthday. Excellent Food, Friendly waiters. We both like Mojito, but unfortunately, there are very few restaurants in Mumbai who know the right mix and can prepare a good drink. We had very low expectations with SLIH though, they were beyond expectations. The Cocktail was made very well. We ended up for 4 drinks on a Thursday Afternoon :). The only thing that the Restaurant is missing on is the Parking Facility. Although, they provide a Valle parking, the Car is parked outside on the main road. As yesterday, I ended up getting a Scratch on my Car as it was parked on the Main road with busy traffic. That was really disappointing. So, my take is... go there to really enjoy good food, nice music... infact they have big screens so watching a WC Match / IPL game will be a perfect deal. Happy hours 3-8:30 ... since we reached at 2:45 we missed on first 2 drinks :P. But ensure that you dont take the car... or park it yourself somewhere inside the Mhada Lane which is bang opposite at your own risk. Finally, I am planning to hit the place once again in coming days with all my friends. Cheers !!

For a friday night!

Yup. This place can be a great weekend starter .I have visited some like it hot 4 times since it opened and I would say-
Totally 'chilled out' atmosphere. Love the bright red booths and the table lamps. The walls are done up well too. The combination of service and atmosphere more than offsets the average food quality, though some of the dishes are quite good.

They keep having offers on drinks which works quite well when you don't want to dig a hole in your wallet and still have a great time.

The key highlight for me has been its service. The manager (all the 4 times) made sure that we are served well and that completely added on to the fun experience.

If they keep changing their menu on intervals, this place is going to stay as it is right now- 'HOT"

I think everyone gonna like it HOT...

Went there to meet a friend and end up having Lunch there. Went there at around about 4.00pm and came to know that they have happy hours from 3.00pm to 8.00pm means 1 + 1 on any order of alcoholic drink. But the bad part is that they only server pint beers.

We ordered 1 Nachos with beans and cheese. The quantity was huge. It become very difficult for us to finish that nachos but end up ordering one sizzlers too. We ordered Broccoli, Mushrooms and baby corn sizzler which was again good.

Overall had a good time here. Nice place and ambiance too. One can come here for a couple of drinks. Great food and great service.

Good food,nice ambience

This is under the same umbrella of 'Masala Mantra'.the ambience was nice, with memorabilia & Hollywood posters all over.
FOr drinks ,we had Strawberry Margerita,Virgin Pinacolada& Blue Lagoon..all mocktails, ofcourse!Starters,we ordered Nachos with Beans, which were generously laced with Cheese.Next we ordered Prawns in Teriyaki Sauce, they were good too

Main course comprised of Wood Smoked thin Crust Pizza & Mushroom in Stroganorff sauce with parsley rice.the sauce was creamy & went well with teh Parsley rice.Though not in favour of Mushrooms, must say,I enjoyed the dish the most.Next was Arabietta with garlic bread.Tangy & ncie.
Opted for Creme Brulee ..this was the only downer in the entire course. Also Sticky brownie which was good.
We were given a 20% discount on the bill :)
All in all,a thumbs up !

Fun place but needs better service

The first time I visited SLIH was for lunch on a weekday and it was lovely - we ordered chicken and fish and got great service. I loved it and decided to go back for dinner on Friday. Evidently, the place could not handle the crowd - which was not unreasonably large. The service was a disaster! And I also discovered that this is a diner with no pork or beef! Bit of an oxymoron!! Might go back - but at lunch time.

They can do better than this...

Finally visited this place on a Friday expecting tonnes of people around 9pm..was pleasantly surprised that only 2 tables were covered. good for me, i hate going to very crowded places. however the ambiance was just ok. the music was really very loud, with hardly any people around there was no need for them to keep it blasting. laid back glossy red seats n attentive, prompt service.
that part was really well taken care of. ordered for couple for drinks- beers and mocktails priced at Rs 120 is good. the penne pasta in red sauce was totally disappointing. it was way too sweet and spicy. seriously avoid. ( these are the same guys from pop tates and urban tadka but this time something went wrong)
the thin crust pizza was awesome...near perfect. if nothing else one shud visit this place for the pizzas. couple of beers+cocktail and pasta, pizza affair..
Damages -Rs1200/-
There is scope for improvement...

Good Food

We were looking out for a new place for some exciting food... as we were bored of going to the same old places. We have been to Masala Mantar earlier. This place is on the same floor. So we thought, lets try this place. We ordered Cottage Cheese in Cajun Sauce, Smoked Barbeque Chicken, Chicken Tikka Pizza & Creme Brulee for dessert. Excellent food. The cottage cheese was mildly spiced & ligthly grilled, it was soft & melt in mouth. It was not heavily loaded with spices & butter which fills up your stomach. My husband loved smoked bbq chicken, it was just perfect. Chicken tikka pizza had a nice tangy sauce with colourful peppers. The star of the day was Cream Brulee. It is cold hazelnut & cream spread with a crusty caramelised sugar coat on top. It was delicious. I just hope that they dont remove it from the menu list... as normally such novelty items dont remain on the menu for long.
The ambience & decor was ok... all seats in dark red... with round red cieling lamps. Live bar counter. Overall a good time. Definately recommend this place.

After a few ads in BT i decided to go to this place....Since it serves more or less the cuisine of pop tates (1 of my fav hangouts) i dint expect it to be much different....but to my surprise the place and food bother were unique, different and awesome....
Dim lights, retro music and an awesome ambeince......kind of an english style pub....

To start with had chicken basil which was really juicy and nice...and spinach riccota and cajun paneer....the paneer was so soft and perfect to the taste than you would have never had it anywhere in mumbai....to accompany the starters were the drinks ...a strawberry shake in a tall glass which will leave very little space for you to eat much ....and a perfect ice tea....

Heading to the main course we had a chicken tikka pizza...a thin crust and so soft and hot (unlike any other pizza place including mezzo mezzo@jw) that when u have the pizza the cheese literally melts in your mouth...

The staff was really helpful in selecting the dishes and also the service was really good ...dint have to wait for any item for more than 15 20 mins....

Hats off to this place....its just awesome....

We Like It Hot, Indeed!

When a restaurant with a name like that catches your attention or when you step into the dingy outer-surroundings of the place, you're not sure what to think. But let's harp less about that because we found that we do like it hot. Very hot! This place run by the same management as that of Pop Tate's, Urban Tadka and Masala Mantar is sure to get popular with the young crowd and it has reasons enough to.

With an ambience and setting that transpires a feel-good feeling and can best be describes as the perfect night out with your buddies, Some Like It Hot is brimming with cool memorabilia and posters strewn across the walls. While one is reminded faintly of TGIF and Applebee's outlets abroad, this place still scores with us.

The place is spacey, bright and filled with close-box tables. Greeted by the waiters and the maitre-d', you feel home at once (however, these guys are perfectly unobtrusive, respect your privacy and you won't feel like you're being watched like a hawk). The menu offers options that include salads, appetisers, fondues, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, pasta, risotto, grilled dishes and much more (phew!), we decided to have the exciting-sounding Slow Cooked Lemon Chicken and for a drink, we picked the Carrot Red Pepper Booster.

The Slow Cooked Lemon Chicken was a real delight! Served with mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, butter rice and steamed vegetables, the dish was oozing with melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The chicken was perfect and succulent, the zesty lemon and paprika seasoning really brought out its flavour. Of course, the butter rice combined with the melty potatoes, roasted potatoes and veggies made the dish all the more lip-smacking. It definitely goes up in our list of recommends!

The Carrot Red Pepper Booster is a smoothie essentially and we'd recommend it only if you're having something light as a sandwich or a salad. Don't get us wrong, it was perfect but it proved to be far more filling than our meal itself. It has hints of pepper lending a fancy cold soup taste to it and seems like a healthy drink. They house assortments of alcoholic beverages too and you can rejoice because they have Happy Hours here as well.

We were too stuffed for dessert after a lovely meal like that, but upon recommendation of the management, we decided to go for the B-52, an interesting chocolate dessert made with kahlua, amaretto and Bailey's Irish cream. Needless to say, we were delighted further if that's possible. The dessert was delicious, had the right amount of Bailey's and was definitely enough to lighten our senses with its rich flavour.

Undoubtedly, a place that will have you coming back for more, Some Like It Hot, we hope will go down in your good books as well. What more do you want? They've got perfect service, a warm atmosphere, delectable food and well, we'll leave you to add to the list...this one's a winner!

Meal for Two: Rs.1000 (excluding alcohol)
